I chose to do the Micrographic self portrait because it seemed like a challenge because i'm a hands-on kind of person when it comes to art. I like drawing and painting, so this seemed like it would push me because I don't really like doing things digitally. I also like words and pictures so this blended two things I liked into one. |
This is my project when I finished!Reflection Questions 1) The interview I did with my friend made me feel like I am good at things and it encouraged me to keep being myself and working towards goals. 2) The challenge with finding fonts for this project is that I had to use fonts that made good lines. I had to adjust the size and color for different parts of the picture. 3) The success I had was finding new ways to make the lines finer and using other lighter colors for shading. 4) A challenge I had while doing this project was when I needed to shade parts of my face. The black fonts were coming across way too dark for shading so I found a way to change the color of the font to grey, and it worked out well. 5) The micrographic picture changes the original photo because the lines in the micrography photo's lines aren't as small or fine as the original. Also there are small details and complicated shading on the original that I didn't have time to add onto my micrographic portrait. 6) I think I could have shown more of myself in this picture if I had more time to do so. I would probably have gone towards trying to outline details in my face that are unique to me. It would be a lot different if I used paper and pencil materials. 7) Things from the interview that I wanted to add into this portrait is how I am mostly a pretty happy person. |
